My name is Tim, I’m a professional civil engineer working as a consultant on land development projects. I’m a father of two busy young boys and live in West Auckland.

Like many with busy lives I struggle to find time to do the things that keep me balanced. This project is about finding and keeping that balance.

Tired of the rat race, I’m setting aside a few days each month for an outdoor adventure.

Each month I’ll do at least one overnighter, either on the water or tramping a slice of Aotearoa - sections of Te Araroa, a night on the boat, island camping, and more.

I’ll document each trip here to keep myself honest and to savour the experiences.
