TR’s Monthly Adventures
Tired of the rat race, I’m setting aside a few days each month for an outdoor adventure.
Each month I’ll do at least one overnighter, either on the water or tramping a slice of Aotearoa - sections of Te Araroa, a night on the boat, island camping, and more.
I’ll document each trip here to keep myself honest and to savour the experiences.
What’s the plan?
My name is Tim Rickards, I’m a professional civil engineer in my 40’s working as a consultant on land development projects. I’m a father of two busy young boys and live in West Auckland with my wife Jo.
Like many in my situation with busy lives I struggle to find time to do the things that keep me balanced from a mental wellness perspective.
